You will explore iconic landmarks such as Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square, offering deep insights into Nepal’s Hindu and Buddhist traditions. Embark on a 12-day Nepal journey exploring Kathmandu’s heritage, Chitwan jungle, Lumbini’s sacred sites, Pokhara’s lakes, and the Annapurna trek with Poon Hill sunrise and Gurung villages.
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our Trek Me Nepal representative who will assist with airport formalities and escort you to your hotel. Once settled, you will receive a detailed briefing about your journey, including safety tips, trekking guidelines, and permits, and an overview of the cultural, wildlife, and Himalayan trekking experiences ahead.
The evening is free to explore Thamel, Kathmandu’s vibrant tourist district, known for its bustling streets, souvenir shops, cafes, and lively nightlife. You can purchase local handicrafts, pashmina shawls, or a SIM card to stay connected throughout your trip. This is also a great opportunity to acclimatize and rest after your flight.
Day 1 Highlights:
After finishing your breakfast, you will be escorted to the bus, which will take you to explore Kathmandu’s rich Cultural & World Heritage Sites like Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. At the end of the day, you will be escorted to your hotel, where you could take a good night’s sleep.
Day 2 Highlights
Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, taking approximately 5 to 6 hours.
Chitwan is renowned for its diverse ecosystems, including forests, grasslands, and rivers that host a variety of wildlife such as rhinos, elephants, crocodiles, and over 500 bird species. Upon arrival, check into your resort and relax for a while before exploring the surrounding areas.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Tharu cultural dance, showcasing local music, costumes, and rhythms. This vibrant performance provides insight into the heritage of the Tharu community, one of Nepal’s indigenous groups living in the Terai region.
Then later your dinner will be served at the hotel. Then you could go to your room for a good night’s sleep.
Day 3 Highlights
Today is dedicated to exploring Chitwan’s wilderness. Begin with elephant bathing and interaction at the Rapti River, where you can learn about elephant behavior and conservation. Visit the Elephant Breeding Center, which provides insight into the care and protection of Asian elephants.
Afterward, enjoy a canoe ride on the Rapti/Budhi River, where you may spot rare marsh crocodiles, Gharial, monitor lizards, jeep safaris, and a variety of water birds. A guided jungle walk allows you to explore the forest trails, observe wildlife tracks, and experience the sounds of the jungle up close.
Finally, visit the Tharu Community Museum to learn about the traditional lifestyle, folklore, and heritage of the Tharu people. Return to your resort for dinner and rest.
Day 4 Highlights
After breakfast, embark on a scenic 4-hour drive to Lumbini, the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha. The journey passes through charming rural landscapes, allowing you to observe the daily life of villagers and the natural beauty of southern Nepal.
Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take time to explore the nearby surroundings. After you finish your lunch, you will be taken to various pilgrimage sites with landmarks like the Maya Devi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, Bodhi Tree, Lumbini Crane Sanctuary, Lumbini Museum, Vietnamese Pagoda, and World Peace Pagoda, offering insight into the region’s cultural heritage and history.

Day 5 Highlights
In this day, you will explore some of the remaining sightseeing, then you will embark on your journey towards Pokhara from Lumbini. It typically takes 6-7 hrs to reach Pokhara from Lumbini by road. Along the road, you will be passing through various landscapes. You will be able to see the rural life of Lumbini.
As you reach Pokhara you could check out the nightlife of Pokhara. You could explore the surroundings of Phewa Lake. You could check into the hotel for a good night’s sleep.
Day 6 Highlights
Today, in this day You will get the opportunity to explore the city of Pokhara. You will explore city highlights, including Devi’s Falls, a spectacular waterfall disappearing into an underground tunnel, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, a sacred cave temple & World Peace Stupa.
Then, you will visit the International Mountain Museum, which showcases Nepal’s mountaineering history, Himalayan ecology, and cultural artifacts. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon by Phewa Lake, where optional boating is available, or explore lakeside markets and cafes.
Day 7 Highlights
After breakfast, drive for approximately 3 hours to reach Banthanti via Birethanti, Ulleri, the starting point of your Annapurna region trek. The trek begins through terraced farmlands, riverside paths, and small villages, allowing interaction with the local Gurung and Magar communities.
The moderate trail gradually ascends to Ghorepani village, located within the Annapurna Conservation Area. Ghorepani is known for its spectacular views of Annapurna foothills, lush rhododendron forests, and traditional teahouses that provide comfort and hospitality to trekkers.
Day 8 Highlights
Wake early to hike to Poon Hill, one of the most famous viewpoints in the Annapurna region. The sunrise view is enjoyable in the morning. Enjoy a stunning sunrise over the Himalayas, with panoramic views of Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Nilgiri, and many other snow-capped peaks.
After descending to Ghorepani for breakfast, continue trekking through rhododendron forests and scenic trails to reach Tadapani village. The day offers unmatched opportunities for photography, bird watching, and appreciation of Himalayan landscapes.
Day 9 Highlights
Continue trekking from Tadapani to Ghandruk, a traditional Gurung village known for its preserved culture and stunning mountain vistas. The trail passes through terraced fields, pine forests, and small streams.
In Ghandruk, explore the local community, traditional houses, and cultural heritage, and enjoy close up views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peaks. The village offers insights into rural Himalayan life and provides a comfortable stay in welcoming teahouses.
Day 10 Highlights
Descend from Ghandruk Village to Syauli Bazar through terraced landscapes and riverside paths. From Syauli Bazaar, drive approximately 1-2 hours to Pokhara and catch a short scenic flight back to Kathmandu, offering aerial views of the Himalayan foothills.
